Small Business September is an annual, month-long celebration of the value of small businesses to both the economic and social fabric of New South Wales.
Angela Vithoulkas, owner and manager of the successful VIVO Cafe Group in the Sydney CBD is proud to have been nominated as a ‘Champion’ of Small Business September and will be assisting with the promotion of the many celebrations and events.
Angela says the events are invaluable. "Usually small-business owners can't afford to pay for this kind of advice from experts," she says.
"But at Small Business September there are more than 300 events, most of them free. They aren't just on generic topics but really cutting-edge stuff; exactly what small businesses need."
With over 650,000 diverse small businesses operating across the State, each employing up to 20 people, the sector underpins the economic lifeblood of our community.
Around 300 small business seminars, workshops, awards, conferences and expos will be held across New South Wales during September which will explore ways small to medium enterprises can use profit-building strategies.
Small Business September 2010 is an occasion for people in small business to extend their networks, develop their skills and build links with the many support organisations that exist to promote business success.
Small Business September is organised by the Industry & Investment NSW, with organisational partners offering events.
The platinum sponsors are ANZ, Australia Post, Cumberland Courier, and Sensis. Gold sponsors are the City of Sydney, Netregistry and IAG, while silver sponsors are CPA, EFIC, NSW Business Chamber and Virgin Blue.
The official launch of Small Business September is Wednesday 1st September of which Angela is a VIP guest.
