Best Buddies Have a Ball at VIVO

VIVO Cafes are proud supporters of the Best Buddies Australia – a fantastic organisation which enhance the lives of people with intellectual disability by providing opportunities for friendship and integrated employment.

A movie night was arranged for the Best Buddies to view the movie Alice in Wonderland.  VIVO Cafe, 388 George Street, Sydney hosted the pre-movie snacks and get-together.  85 people gathered at VIVO Cafe from 6pm where Angela Vithoulkas put on a veritable feast of delicious cakes, slices, ices, pies and soft drinks!

Buddy pairs from Marrickville High School, Fairvale High School, Sydney Secondary College Leichhardt and Balmain campuses attended, along with recent school leavers Josh and Michael who hiked in from out Kellyville-way and ex-Buddy Director Hannah. They were joined by family members, corporate supporters and friends of Best Buddies Australia who came from as far away as past Gosford to attend!

After making a sizeable dent in the food mountain at VIVO the results of the raffle were announced. The prize up for grabs was a Double Gold Movie Pass donated by Event Cinemas. It was then time for everyone to walk up the road to the cinema where 3D glasses were donned and the movie greatly enjoyed by the Best Buddies.
