Angela's Advice to Women in Business

Angela Vithoulkas of VIVO Cafe Group, Sydney, was recently featured in an article in www.trespassmag.com regarding women in business.

Angela has been a business owner for the past 25 years. Her businesses have always been based in Sydney city and she has established and sold several cafés over that period.  Her current brand, VIVO Café Group, was established 5 years ago and has won six awards including City of Sydney Business Awards for Outstanding Café of the Year and Outstanding Business of the Year.  Angela was also the winner of the Telstra New South Wales 2007 Women’s Business Owner Award.

Over the last three years Angela has added the role of MC and keynote speaker to her list of business activities, something she really enjoys as she gets to meet other inspiring business women and experience the incredible feedback they give her.

Even with all these accolades, Angela still enjoys being hands on and is the perfect person to provide advice to other women already in business or who are considering starting their own business.

Angela’s top 3 tips for women wanting to start their own business are:

1. Make friends with your fears. Fears can provide answers, results and truth
2. Really truly and totally believe in yourself and how great you are
3. Your timeline and expectations are not necessarily those of your business, be real about this to avoid undue stress and heartache. It very rarely happens overnight, hardly ever easily and almost never without tears. Its all good.
