Mrs Australia 2011, Sylvie Boutros, and the challenger for her title, Karen Miles, will be serving up breakfast ‘all frocked-up’ while raising funds for their charity, Ovarian Cancer and the upcoming Mrs Australia Quest National Finals.

She has turned her talents this year to the Mrs Australia Quest to be able to raise awareness and funds for Ovarian Cancer, a silent disease that affects so many women each year.

Enjoy live jazz music every Friday afternoon during the warmer months at VIVO Cafe by various jazz musicians and duos.
The gypsy jazz guitar trio, the Gadjo Guitars are made up of Nigel Date, Jose and Cameron Jones.
We are sure you’ll love this music. It’s 1930’s French Cafe jazz played on beautiful replica instruments. The Gadjo Guitars will be playing the music of Django Reinhardt and the Quintet Du Hotclub du Paris.
This type of jazz music is light and happy, allows you to have a conversation and goes well with a glass of wine or a coffee.

Help raise awareness and increase knowledge about Thalassaemia amongst our communityThe Thalassaemia Society of NSW's mission is to provide social support and advocacy for patients and carers of patients with thalassaemia, sickle cell anaemia, blackfan diamond disorder and other haemoglobinopathies, while providing funding for treatment, medical equipment, research and education.
With 5% of Australians being carriers of Thalassaemia, it has become one of the most common blood disorders and, as yet, there is no cure.

28th February, 2011 will mark the fourth International Rare Disease Day coordinated by EURORDIS and organised with rare disease national alliances in 25 countries. On that day hundreds of patient organisations from more than 40 countries worldwide will be organising awareness-raising activities and converging around the slogan “Rare but Equal”.
Hundreds of patient groups and their partners, coordinated by national alliances at the country level, are planning a multitude of events to draw attention to rare diseases and the millions of people who are affected by them. Awareness-raising activities are being planned across Europe, all the way to Russia, Georgia and Armenia, as well as in the US, Canada and as far as Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan!
The event will be will be hosted by Tim Maddren from Hi5, World Vision Ambassador, Starlight foundation Ambassador.
